Prawn Malai Curry
Preparation time: 40 mins Ingredients: Lobsters: 750 gms Mustard oil: 4 tb Coconut milk: 1 1/2 cup Poppy seed paste: 3 tb Yellow mustard paste: 2 tb Black mustard paste: 1 tb Coconut paste: 3 tb Turmeric: 1 ts Green chilly paste: 1 ts Black /var/www/hin seed: 1 ts Green chilly: 4 Sugar: 1 ts Salt: To taste The Steps: Pre - Preparation : Slit the green chilly. Preparation : 1) Completely shell, de-vein the prawns, and wash in cold water. 2) Smear turmeric and salt and keep aside for 20 mins. 3) Blend yellow and black mustard paste, poppy seed paste, coconut paste, turmeric, sugar, salt and both green chilly paste and green chilly. 4) Fry prawns till they turn golden brown. Strain them. 5) Add black /var/www/hin seeds and wait till it crackles. 6) Add the mixed paste and simmer till oil leaves the sides. 7) Add coconut milk and cook it for another 10 mins. 8) Add the prawns and simmer till cooked. Calories: 2540 Suggested Accompaniments: Steamed rice Left - Over Ideas : 1) Layer rice with thickened prawn malai gravy. 2) Top with barista and boiled, halved eggs and serve hot.
