Paneer Gatte Curry
Cooking Time : 25-35 Minutes

Ingredients:
Ingredients for Gatte:
1 cup besan flour( chick pea flour)
50 grams paneer - grated
½ cup natural yogurt
½ tsp. Ajwain seeds (celery seeds)
1 tsp. garlic paste
1 tsp. ginger paste
A pinch of Hing (Asafetida powder)
1 table spoon oil
½ tsp. salt
Ingredients for Gravy:
1 onion- finely chopped
1 tomato cut into 8 pieces
4-5 green chilies- finely chopped
½ cup natural yogurt
½ tsp. red chili powder
½ tsp. turmeric powder
1 table spoon oil for frying
Salt to taste
Garnish:
Green Coriander leaves
Method:
1-Mix all the ingredients for Gatte ( except the cheese) and make it into a dough. Roll the dough to a 1 cm thick disc. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the disc. Fold the disc to form a roll.
2-Cut roll into 3 cm to 4 cm pieces. In a pan boil about 1 liter of water.
3-Gently drop the Gatte into it and cook till they start floating to the top. Remove Gatte and save the water.
4-Grind the gravy ingredients (onion, tomato, green chili and yogurt) to a paste.
5-Heat oil in the pan and cook the paste till it starts to release the sides of the pan.
6-Add salt and spices and cook for 1 minute. Add about half of the water and to get to boil.
7-Drop the Gatte and cover the pan. Simmer over low heat for 8 to 10 minutes.
8-Serve hot. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
