Masala Idli

Cooking Time: 30 minutes

Serves 5-6

Ingredients:
1 cup of Rice
1 cup of Urad (moong dal washed) dal
1/2 pc.of coconut
1 Onion, finely chopped
2 Green chilies, finely chopped
A handful of chopped Coriander leaves
Salt and chili powder according to taste

Method:
1.Wash and soak the rice and dal in water for 6 hours.
2. Then drain the water and grind the rice and dal together to a smooth paste.
3.Add the coconut and grind once again.
4. Mix the rest of the ingredients and then add enough water to form a thick batter.
5.Lightly grease the idli cups and fill the cups with batter.
6.Put water in the idli cooker, place the filled stands and close the lid.
7.Steam on a slow flame and the idlis will be ready in 10 mins.
