Makki Dhokla
Cooking Time : 45 Minutes
Serves 4
Ingredients:
250 grams of maize flour
500 grams of natural yogurt
20 grams of grated ginger
2 green chili- chopped finely
1 tea spoon soda bi carb
Salt to taste
Garnish:
1 carrot grated
Coriander leaves finely chopped
Method:
1-Mix the flour, yogurt and salt to form a dough. Keep the dough in a warm place for 8 to 10 hours so that the dough rises.
2-Mix the grated ginger, soda bi carb and the chili.
3-Place the dough in a tray and spread to form a layer about ¾” to 1” thick.
4-Steam the dough for 15 to 20 minutes.
5-Cut the dough into about 1-1/2” squares and garnish with grated carrot and coriander.
6-Serve with mint chutney
