Kadhai Mattar

Cooking Time:  20Minutes

serves  3

Ingredients:
2 cups green peas, boiled
1 onion grated
1 tomato grated
1 tbsp. coriander leaves finely chopped.
1 tsp. red chilli powder
1/4 tsp. tandoori masala
1/6 tsp. turmeric powder
2 pinches asafoetida
1/4tsp. /var/www/hin seeds
Salt to taste
1 tsp. kasoori methi
1/2 lemon juice extracted
2 tbsp. ghee or oil
Grind together:
4 flakes garlic
1/2" piece ginger
4-5 cashew nuts
1 tbsp. fresh coconut scraped
1 clove
1 small piece cinnamon

Method:

1-Heat oil in a kadai.
2-Add /var/www/hin seeds and asafoetida, allow to splutter.
3-Add onion, stir. Add paste and tomatoes.
4-Cook for 2 minutes. Add dry masalas.
5-Stir, add peas, stir and simmer for 5 minutes.
6-Add lemon juice, kasoori methi, cook till oil separates.
7-Garnish with chopped coriander.
Serve hot with  paratha, or naan, etc.
