Burmese Dry Prawn Curry
Cooking time : 25 Minutes
Serves 4
Ingredients:
1 lb Shelled prawns
1 large onion
4-5 cloves garlic
1 tsp finely grated ginger
2 tbsp chopped spring onion
1/4 tsp chilli powder
1/2tsp grd turmeric
3 tbsp oil
1 tbsp coriander (fresh), chopped
Salt to taste
Method:
1-De-vein prawn and rinse. Grind to a puree the large onion, ginger & garlic.
2-Then mix in the turmeric and chilli powder. Blend once again.
3-Heat oil in pan and add ground ingredients.
4-Fry for 15 mins till you get a rich red-orange color. Add very little water.
5-When the mixture is sizzling, add the prawns and stir well.
6-Add the fresh coriander and cook till prawns are done. Add salt as needed.
7-Remove from heat and add the spring onions.
Serve with rice or noodles.
